Our projects are international, and this poses huge challenges for our logistics managers. Logistics planning has to cover aspects such as the most reliable packaging, the best mode of transport, the various relevant import regulations, and the ambient conditions at the chosen location. Our objective: to deliver all objects in perfect condition, just in time.
We work all over the world. This requires exact coordination of all the various trades, and precise advance planning concerning who will be on site and when. It is crucial that the relevant trades work ahead and prepare the site so that all the objects produced in our factory fit perfectly on arrival. On location these people must be team players: we can only finish a project on target if those involved coordinate their tasks perfectly, familiarise themselves with the local conditions and are flexible at all times.
